The Meritt Strategy
Our industry is built on relationships, relationships are built on performance, and performance is based on knowledge and experience. At Meritt Aviation, we take pride in being more than just order takers. Our staff of aviation professionals has extensive backgrounds with class 1, 2, and 3 instrument and accessory repair and overhaul as well as supply chain management.
As a strategic decision, Meritt Aviation does not overhaul, repair or affect the condition of any part in any way. This has given us the flexibility to develop relationships with repair and overhaul facilities worldwide.
We are not viewed in the industry as competitors. we are viewed as bridge builders and problem solvers. Repair and overhaul vendors see us as a method to market their services to customers they may not be able to reach directly. Consumers see us as a resource to provide repair and overhaul management services through a variety of sources to streamline turn time, cost and quality.

This strategic, relationship oriented approach to component repair has provided several key benefits:
- When we shop for parts, vendors put their best foot forward. They understand that we are not just buying for our own stock, but that we represent several large corporations who use us to buy a lot.
- The same applies to negotiations with repair/overhaul vendors.
- We get the very best turn times available to anyone.
- We find out the issues involved in extraordinary circumstances, so we can help resolve them. For example, if a vendor has trouble acquiring piece parts from an OEM, and we have a relationship with that OEM, many times we can expedite the piece parts to everyone's benefit.
- We learn who to stay away from and who to trust.
